EDUCATE THE CHILDREN

Educate the Children (ETC) is an NGO in rural Nepal that provides poverty impact assessment services to the Dalit and Janjati communities. Their Integrated Community Development (ICD) model has three beneficial supportive components: Women’s Empowerment, Children’s Education, and Sustainable Agricultural Development.
ETC’s mission is educating their women’s groups and communities-at-large on the increasing significance of social and environmental issues that can adversely impact their family finances, gender social status and overall health. The New School M&E Consultants (Tim Sughrue and Jacqueline Toppin) and ETC advocates for keeping a balance of women’s empowerment, childhood education and other healthy living activities to maintain optimal well-being.
