UN-HABITAT

Focusing on the role of youth in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and of the New Urban Agenda, a booklet was created to present (1) a review of the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda and their inclusion of youth; (2) actionable outputs to mainstream youth in five main areas of intervention: access to housing, expanded frontier technologies, improved sustainable mobility and enhanced social cohesion and PVE; and (3) best practices that have taken ground in urban areas around the globe. The thematic areas the team focused on are the first four pillars of the 2030 Agenda: People and Places, Prosperity, Planet and Peace. The outputs were based in UN-Habitat’s unfinished Logical Framework, comprised of the main objective and outcomes. The booklet is shared within UN-Habitat’s network and is intended to serve as a tool that national and local governments can use.
